Creating a product from scratch
When approaching a new product, we first need to properly identify the business opportunity, and how we can leverage it with the correct solution.
For that purpose we rely on the Business model Canvas, to help us make sure we answer all the right questions before we roll up our sleeves and start building a product

UX as a tool for achieving business goals
Going through different phases of business and product definitions, our product had undergone many shapes and variation until we reached our optimal form.
The different options were highly affected by our selection of our distribution channel.
Should we go Pure B2C? B2B2C? Native App? Website widget? browser add-on?
all these were examined for possible execution
Wireframing
Once we have concluded what our optimal distribution channel would be, we used wireframes to plan each of the possible states of the product - relying on the use cases we wanted to cover
Default widget state - activatedThe widget is visible when it identifies a relevant scenario | Widget engaged - Display relevant servicesEngaging the widget displays the relevant services recommended for the current scenario | Service engaged - Display detailsThe user can select a service to learn more abut it, connect with the provider and book it - all without leaving the current website |

Graphic design - Holistic approach

The graphic design process, while relying on the business and functionality definitions, has a crucial part in determining the brand & product's identity.
Since everything is connected, we need to make sure the design serves our goals perfectly - What the brand image reflects, what the product and the landing page look&feel transmits to the user... all these should align to create the experience we want our product & company to deliver our users.
Here are a couple of the variations we examined for the Brand, Product, and Our landing page
The Outcome
After testing the different variations, considering our core organizational & business definitions, and applying the best practices for an optimal experience - we came up with our MVP version of the PassionAnt browser add-on:
Default widget state - ActivatedThe widget is visible when it identifies a relevant scenario | Widget engagedEngaging the widget displays the relevant services recommended for the current scenario | Service drill-downThe user can select a service to learn more abut it, connect with the provider and book it - all without leaving the current website |
